So are you saying that in the 8 years Clinton was in office, his administration wasn't able to find and extract or kill bin Laden? To me the proof is in the pudding. If this administration extracts or kills bin Laden, then I'll give them credit. However, I do agree with you that the country didn't have the will to dedicate as many resources as we have now on the task. However, Clinton and his administration were tree-hugging pacifists who emasculated the CIA to begin with. The environment that the Clinton era spawned was not one that helped security organizations or our armed forces thrive in. With Bush and the Republicans in power now, we would have had a stronger CIA and armed forces regardless of whether we'd been attacked or not. Now, Bush has the mandate to make it happen in a bigger way than he previously could have made it happen without the attacks. So oftentimes, the will of the people can be defined by their leadership. If our leader is a philanderer that spends his time chasing intern tale, then the people lose focus on the important things too. Such is the power of our paparazzi media and our population's fascination with the inane.
