You feel sorry for my children? How open and unjaundiced of you. Do you not see the irony of being so sensitive to humanity and yet attacking my parenting skills over an opinion voiced in a free forum?

And I did not wipe out a whole class of people but merely stated my opinion that the odds of meeting stimulating intellectuals are greater the higher up the educational ladder you go and that mingling, with the sole purpose of knowing your fellow men, is rather worthless unless you plan to be a novelist. Poetry and literature are my loves not something I foist upon my children although the girls seem attracted. I personally am hoping all of them go into the sciences and thus end up actually employed.

You know nothing about me Christine, I fought my way as much as anyone. My father was an alcoholic and my mother was mentally ill and abused me. But I don't whine about those things. I got on drugs and into crime as a teenager and I could have gone either way but I think it was my love of learning that saved me. I wasn't in very good shape for most of my childhood, and I'm not just talking about the dislocated bones and broken fingers. But I dealt with it and moved on and did my best. I make sure I surround my children with the love I wish I'd had and with the kind of normalcy I yearned for.

I am actually a very tolerant person Christine. If you remember "the Burning Times" and those other shows from PBS, it isn't people like me that attack others for their beliefs, I merely disagree in written form, it is the common folk who burn books and witches.
