Alan, my mistake in suggesting you were missing something. In fact, you are already taking the Israeli/Hisbolah view-point that the only way peace can come is when the opposition (and whoever else) is destroyed. Trouble is the war is not going to end by the US simply sending a thousand paratroopers and thousand cruise missiles into Afghanistan. In fact, it's going to get a whole lot worse --- and not only in Afghanistan. rense.com According to this guy (whoever he is) "The news items that I have mentioned - may lead to elimination of 80 percent of the world's population in the next 30 days" I guess one can call that collateral damage or maybe McCain's opinion is also just pacifist rubbish. (For what it's worth, he's a highly decorated war hero who, quite easily, could have become the President of the US)
