Good point -- that will change as funds are cut off.
Eventually these families proud of lost martyred sons will find further hardships, and not be so tolerant of "Omar's new hobby".

The CNN piece you mentioned showed a 3-day celebration after each suicide bomb attack. That will have less enthusiasm when it's clear that only military action and hardship follow, rather than celebrations and subsidies.

What isn't clear is how large this recruiting effort really is. It would be very useful to know how effective they are as this war proceeds.
