What a wealth of information in that CC.

Overall, it looks like CKFR is being affected by the economic slowdown, albeit not to the same extent as many other companies. Although I would have loved another quarter of 9% subscriber growth I guess 7% growth ain't bad during these tough times.

Some tidbits -

Transaction growth looks anemic (66M/Q vs 68.5M - 4%) compared to subscriber growth (5.2M to 5.6M - 7%), but when adjusted for the number of processing days per month is just fine (6%).

Pete emphasizes that their cash position of $200M may be used to acquire companies that cannot make it during these tough times. CKFR is in a strong position being cash flow positive. CKFR will manage their expenses carefully, but htere will be no cut-back in new products. Pete wants to gain on the competition during these tough times and be prepared with better products when the economy finally picks up.

An analyst asked about everyone sitting around a table and deciding to exchange bills. Pete said that this is happening via standards, but the sticking point would be CKFR's and the billers' concerns about quality. CKFR continues to set the barrier higher and higher with their 4.6 sigma goals.

BofA will be transitioning all their customers to the Genesis platform soon. Details were given, but I can't remember them.

Pete gave a list of the advertising initiatives planned for the rest of the year. The ones with BofA were impressive.

Biller implementation is slowing along with general IT spending. CKFR has 100 billers in backlog and CKFR believes as many as 20 will not implement with CKFR. Many will delay implementation. CKFR will update the status of billers next Q.

The postponed investors conference will be held on 12/13 in NYC.

Where's the stock price headed? I think down, but I'm not sure. There was no mention of a consumer sentiment change due to the events of Sept 11th.

Metavante was mentioned as CKFR's main rival, althoguh they continue to be much smaller. CKFR has no more information than we do on Spectrum.
