Richard L. Grubman is Managing Director, Highfields Capital Management LP, Boston, MA. Since March 1998 Mr. Grubman has served as a managing director of Highfields Capital Management LP, a Boston-based investment management firm he co-founded. Highfields Capital manages domestic and offshore hedge funds with total assets under management of over $2.8 billion. He previously served as a general partner of Corporate Value Partners LP, President of Sycamore Capital Management Inc., and as a managing member of Development Capital LLC. Prior thereto, Mr. Grubman was a general partner of Lakeview Partners, L.P. and of Ellistan Partners, L.P., both special situations investment advisory firms, and a vice president of Gollust, Tierney and Oliver, Inc., a strategic block investment firm. He started his career as an analyst and associate in the mortgage and real estate finance departments of The First Boston Corporation. He has served as a director of Odwalla, Inc., a publicly-held specialty beverage company since August 1997. He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University in 1984.
