With or without Clinton's skills ...Bin Laden...was a very difficult man to track down. That plus the fact that there was no regional co-operation from other Muslim nations, made the eradication of Bin Laden almost impossible. We can't find known drug dealers in South America, with the co-operation of local governments, how would you propose the hunting down of Bin Laden? Once (when I lived in Africa) I was 60 miles from the village where Stanley found Livingstone, but for me to get there on foot or with a vehicle was a 360 mile trip (at least). I think that Americans have watched too many James Bond movies to realize the difficulties or tracking down one man in hostile environment.
