First of all, Tiger Paw, I don't hateanybody. I don't even hate Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, or Qhadaffi(sp?). I hate their evil deeds but if by some chance they were to repent I am fully prepared to forgive them. That does not relieve them from their obligation to the laws of man or God.
I dislike Clinton's policies because they basically destroyed the benefits of my life's work, a harvest that would not have been reaped in any case until my grandchildren's sons are old and entering retirement like I am about to. You see, it takes a long time to grow a forest. That's what I dedicated my life to, and now I find out it was pointless.
I dislike the government pushing aside the value of my private efforts at enjoying the many wonderful cultures of the world and replacing them with its own agenda.
I think Bill Clinton is the sorriest excuse for a President in history. That is because he does not live up to his potential to be great, not in the least. At every turn he disappoints. I admire his charisma, although that is hardly a criterion for President. I admire his intelligence, but it is unmatched by his character. That is a fatal flaw in my judgment.
I'm not so sure about Hillary Clinton. My reaction to her is entirely visceral, like that of a cat encountering an unknown dog. I sincerely do not believe she can be trusted with political office in this country. I don't perceive that she respects the Constitution beyond the parts that support her own positions.
The idea of peace does not bother me. The idea of war bothers me because it is so horrible and illogical I can scarcely think of a justifiable reason to engage in it, save survival, honor, and justice. The idea of "peaceniks" like those of my generation bothers me, because I think they were entirely misguided and in many cases dishonorable.
Your statements about me reveal that you do not know the slightest thing about my character, despite my effort to reveal it in virtually every post that I make.
I'm an old trapper, see. The way to catch a mink is to put some stinky old bait in a likely spot. That's exactly what you are doing with your posts. You hope that your outrageous statements will entice me and others to step on the pan of a Number One Victor so you can revel as the jaws snap shut. We are not deceived.
I have my doubts, but it's entirely possible that if we knew each other I would like you. In the case of rich4eagle, for example, I have no doubt of it even though I believe his activity on this discussion board denigrates his real character. In your case I would insist that you learn more about my heart, where I'm quite sure you will find more than enough love, peace, and forgiveness to justify a get-out-of-jail card on judgment day. |
