Hi Carl:

Lets go over the items.

Item #1: You state:
> Okay. So now the deal is that I only get to use translations of the Koran from Arabic sources?

No! The deal (if that is what you would like to call) is for you to get the "interpretation" (and not the translation) of Koran from the average joe living in any of the Islamic countries on this planet (except those in the West such as the U.S). Interpretation is different than the translation. Perhaps you can understand the following analogy. If you read Chinese constitution or the Islamic Republic of Iran's constitution, on paper, they are as good as the U.S constitution for which they talk about human rights, respect for all people, freedom, etc. etc. If you believe these countries exercise and interpret (as expected) what is stated in their own constitution then you do also believe in the tooth fairy.

You are arguing for the sake of arguing - and have the skills to twist what otherwise is meant to be. What I am telling you is that understanding Islam is not just reading the translation of Koran done by some Harvard professor or some propaganda Arabic machine. The Islam that you seem to understand "is on paper", and is totally different than what is being practiced and implemented by the Muslims living in Islamic countries such as Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc. And even if you want to go by the strict translation of Koran on paper, I submit to you that it is evil when it promotes such notions as wife beating, and domination of men over women, justifying the harm done on non-Muslims, etc.

I guess perhaps the best would be to ask you, if you are so hot about Islamic teachings, and have such high regards for the teachings of Koran, would you like to go and live where everyone around you is following those same teachings (lets say Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Nigeria, Iran, etc.)? You will feel much more in peace with yourself knowing that everyone around you follows the same set of beliefs and ideology from treating women, to how to have sex, to how to treat a non-Muslim, to even how to beat someone, or how to kill an animal, etc.

Item #2: Regarding the MSNBC link the mind of a suicide bomber. You state:
> 2) The next link was to MSNBC, and while I know that while Microsoft and NBC have never published anything that was anything other than completely true, I suggest that maybe, just this once, their article on the mindset of suicide bombers may not be factually correct, and in any case, it doesn't have much to do with Islam or what is or is not in the Koran. The link wouldn't work for me.

The link is as I provided in my previous post msnbc.com . Once on that page, scroll down, and half way in the middle of the page you see the title The mind of a Suicide Bomber, and then you can click on the Video button to see excerpts from that documentary.

However since you think the whole world is wrong and you are right and as you have characterized the documentary be nothing but another Microsoft/NBC propaganda, then I do not see the point of you viewing that documentary (which incidentally is all facts. It contains actual interviews with failed suicide bombers who currently are serving time in Isarelie and Palestinian jails).

Item #3: Regarding the PBS documentary on Jihad. You state:

>(3) ou.org This is an Israeli organization, "The Israel Diaspora": ou.org They're in the middle of a cold war with Islam, so I'm not certain that their views are entirely neutral.

Similar to item #2 above you have dismissed it as simply being another propaganda (this time done by PBS and a Jewish organization). Therefore I do not see the point of you viewing that documentary either (which incidentally is all facts).

As for Item #3: You state:
> (4) newadvent.org This web site ( newadvent.org )is a Catholic web site, and while at least they're not currently fighting Islam, they are certainly competing for souls, and are not likely to be entirely neutral.

Again since you have dismissed the facts as another propaganda (this time by a catholic organization), then again I do not see the point of you reviewing the facts that are pointed out.

As for item #5: You state:
> (5) hindutva.org This web site ( hindutva.org ) is a Hindu web site, and since the Hindus are currently running a cold war against Islamic Pakistan they're not likely to be producing an entirely neutral viewpoint either.

Again since you have also dismissed this source of "FACTS" as just another propaganda (this time by the Hindus), then I do not see the point of you understanding/reviewing those facts.

Therefore, Microsoft/NBC, PBS/Jewish, Catholics, and Hindus (and everyone else who dares to point out the short comings of Koran and Islam) have all conspired against you and your totally non-biased objective views of Islam!! :)

And finally you state:
> In short, your sources are biased, and so are you.

And I suppose you are totally objective and not biased?! For God's sake just read your own post to me! :)

You sate:
Read what you wrote, for God's sake: "The issue at hand was Islam and its danger evil ways to the world." Your head is so full of propaganda that there is not even room for you to recognize that you still haven't given me a link to the "satanic" Koran you talked about. So where is this translation?

I do not have to provide you a link for which you already have the link for a complete comprehensive translation of Koran (the one that you feel is complete and not biased). So all you have to do is to read it!

The question now is how one would define satanic. To me stanic is when a Koran promotes and advocates notions on beating one's wife, and providing a general sense that men are in charge of women, when the notion is provided that it is OK to kill and destroy non-Muslims, and when it provides a framework filled with harsh inhuman punishments of cutting ones hands, or head for crimes such as stealing, etc. etc. If you think these are not satanic, then your standards of good and evil cetainly differs from mine. And I strongly suggest that you go and live in a country such as Saudi Arabia, or Iran instead of the U.S for which they will be more in line with your standards of morality and human decency.

And finally you state:
> Your country is thousands of years older than ours, how come it's not thousands of years more advanced?

You are calling me a bigot, While you mock me for my national origin and not accepting me as an American citizen? It is rather funny especially after that idealistic speech of yours a couple of posts back on you being a genuine open minded American! I now really wonder who the real bigot is?! :)

FYI, I am an American citizen. America "IS" my country. I was born in Iran, I lived there the first 16 years of my life before I came to the U.S about 24 years ago. I have worked very hard, started with nothing, and I am thankful to God and to this country for the opportunities that it has provided me. I never take anything for granted - and perhaps that is what distinguishes you from me.

As for why Iran is a thousand years behind despite having over 6000 years of rich cultural background... The answer my friend is in Islam! Study the Persian history, and find out what happened to it 1500 years ago when a bunch of psychopat Arabs invaded Persia, raped its rich cultural background, and then forced everyone to covert into Islam. Do a little bit of study as what has been happening to Iran since Islam was forced upon it. You really may learn a thing or 2 about Islam besides the Harvard intellecutal translation of Koran and/or what the Arabic propaganda machine has offered you. You may even come to truly understand the origin of the name Islam, and why in Farsi (the Iranian language) a Muslim is called "MoSalman".

Yes, Carl, my friend, you do indeed need to learn a lot of things, and you will come to know about Islam the hard way as this war against terrorism progresses in the coming years.

Regards,
