Hi techreports; Thanks for the history lesson on CDMA, I hope it makes you more comfortable with your RMBS, but I don't see what one has to do with the other. Maybe it would make sense if QCOM's management were running RMBS as well, or if Rambus had the same technology as CDMA, but for a different part of the world.

Tell me more about the part where QCOM got convicted of fraud in a U.S. federal court, and then sentenced to pay a huge fine, but came back to win it all. Somehow I missed seeing it in EE-Times. I also want to hear about the part where QCOM only had one big customer, but that customer had their product line made excessively expensive by QCOM's inefficient technology and had to announce support for the royalty free technology that was in competition with QCOM's.

There's a long history in the stock market of people trying to understand something by comparing it with other things. My favorite is the one where they compare a stock to a "gorilla", but then don't take the argument to its logical conclusion and say that unless the world stops developing the rain forest, the stock is going to become extinct.

I'm an engineer, and I design with memory. I don't need to examine the history of CDMA for clues to assist my understanding of the memory market because I understand the memory market itself.

P.S. Sorry for calling you a "loser" in a somewhat manic post a few weeks ago. I just went back over our correspondence and was reminded that you've always been polite to me. I get "techreports" confused in my mind with "techfuture" who used to give me constant BS.
