EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 24, 2001-- Infonet Services Corporation (NYSE:IN;FSE:IN), a leading provider of global communications services for multinational corporations, achieved the ``Best in Class'' overall performance rating among six major Global operators in Telemark's latest survey of managed data network users.
The results show that Infonet outperforms competitors in the three critical ``Indispensable to Customers'' service attributes, comprising network reliability, the fault reporting process and network availability.
Infonet also excelled by winning three of Telemark's highly valued Gold Standard awards, two of which were in the top 10 group of service attributes ranked of highest importance to customers -- secure data transfer and installation not disruptive to business. The third was awarded for bill in currency of choice. Infonet's performance was also rated ``excellent'' in 24-hour transparent maintenance, local language support, cost center billing and no hidden extras in bills.

Telemark's tri-annual benchmarking surveys are derived from telephone interviews with more than 500 IT and Data Network Managers who use international managed data networks in 30 countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific. The performances of the six major global operators and local PTTs are compared in 32 managed data network service (MDNS) attributes spread across six categories: Network Operation, Customer Support, Network Installation, Pricing, Meeting Requirements and Billing. These attributes are ranked in order of importance to customers and measured against benchmark targets reflecting minimum customer expectations.
