This actually sounds pretty bullish to me. Now this is how SIII should word press releases/forward looking statements. Was this from the brokerage that just downgraded SIII? Sounds like they should have upgraded it with the condition that 2nd quarter may be a little soft. This on top of the positive review by John Peddie Assoc. on the Virge performance improvements with the new drivers, is giving me renewed hope. I still expect that some of the lost business to Diamond will be partially offset by increased business with STB and the OEM's. Also, doesn't SIII receive payment when it ships product? This release states that they are:

1. experiencing an acceleration in orders for its 2D TRIO64V+ family of 2D
2. the company reports to already have 3 design wins for its Sonic Vibes audio products, which began to ship this month
3. has won designs for its mobile Aurora products - including a win at Compaq (available now)
4. SIII is maintaining its dominant leadership in the mainstream PC market and beginning to experience growth in the segment 0 (sub-$1000 PC) market with the Plato/PX product line

They must be getting some increased revenue from these items. Seems like they should be increasing this quarters estimate not decreasing it, or at a mininmum, increasing the next 2 quarters. It wouldn't surprise me if by the end of the year things are looking much better, which will be reflected in a much higher share price. I now wish i had more money to put into S3.
