Xybernaut Leads Discussions on Security and Technology at Israeli High-Tech Summit

FAIRFAX, Va. & TEL-AVIV/JERUSALEM--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 24, 2001--Xybernaut Corporation (NASDAQ: XYBR - news) today announced it has been invited to lead discussions related to technology and security developments during the Israeli Hi-Tech Summit this week (October 22 - 24) in Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem.

Dr. Joseph D. Ben-Dak, executive vice president and chief scientist, is representing Xybernaut, the leader in mobile and wearable computing technologies.

The Israeli Hi-Tech Summit brings together finance and technology leaders worldwide and within the Israeli technology community to evaluate and guide the most promising technology start-up companies.

The Summit emphasizes next-generation technologies and the role that Israeli companies will play in developing and supporting global technology in the following markets --

-- Security
-- Telecommunications
-- Life Sciences/BioTechnology/Medical Devices

Xybernaut will showcase cutting-edge wearable computing, security and biochemical solutions, lead discussions and serve on the international jury to select the winner of the Israeli Technology Start-up Competition.

Dr. Ben-Dak has been discussing ``Biotechnology, The New Generation'' during panel sessions concentrating on the status of biotechnology, its development as an industry and potential for technology start-up companies. Specifically, Dr. Ben-Dak and Xybernaut representatives are presenting information related to the use of wearable computers in detecting agents most commonly used in biological weapons.
Dr. Ben-Dak will also serve as a juror in selecting the winner of the Israeli Hi-Tech Start-up Competition and is the elected chairman of the Information Sciences and Security panel discussion during the Summit.
Winners of the Israel Technology Start-up Competition will be announced today (October 24) during an evening reception hosted by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance at the Hyatt Hotel, Jerusalem.
