[U|O]sama has consistently stated his main beefs to be these three:
1) Sanctions on Iraq, causing many innocent deaths (which was caused by the failure to take out Saddam, as you said).
2) US lopsided support for Israel against Palestine.
3) US Military presence in the Holy Land.

You attacking Arafat in your post makes me think that you were under the impression that I am interested in defending him or his behavior. I'm not. We could probably go back and forth about Israel and Palestine about who has wronged the other most, about who is the biggest obstacle to the Mitchell process, etc. But that would not be productive.

What I do have doubts about is that the best way to bring these two to a peaceful solution is to ship more arms and ammo into the region, as well as veto any UN condemnation of the violence. I also resent that my tax dollars are subsidizing the whole shebang. I say that we let the fanatics underwrite their own Holy Wars.
