I must confess - only this morning did i carefully read the header ... my previous comments here were directed at the 'letter to congressperson' part ..... the petition itself is a message to oil companies to produce and label a mid-east-free product, i could support that, it's the customer telling the companies what he wants, quite legitimate and reasonable ... it's the letter part that has some dodgey bits to it imho .... the petition doesn't apply to me as a canadian resident burning purely canuck oil, and i would never broadcast my name/location in public, no

stockcharts.com - is that a double top in sept/oct there? ... this is my favourite chart, btw, their gallery view ... i just sort of squint and try to discern shapes, not scientific at all ... i hold nominal shares longterm, did the full-position buy and hold thing for years once, it treated me well, that was when the current ceo Rick George came in and started the turnaround ... seven eight years ago ... nine? ... truly massive reserves in the oilsands, and they're constantly tweaking their systems to get cost/bbl down, doing pretty well at that ... i've often said that if i was going to lock up sharepaper for ten years, this one would top the list ... but in the near term, it should retest its 200-day before it makes 42? ... they should get a listing on New York, open themselves up to a wider capital market |
