Let them have whatever concept of family they want

It's their concept of violence, and what it can accomplish, that needs a tune-up.

They believe in unlimited violence, up to and including suicide which is, excuse me for this, a dead-end, either at our hand or theirs.

If we assume US action is to minimize violence, we have support from the Dali Lama, of all people, as in the recent link hindustantimes.com

All the rantings heard from Mullahs here and abroad simply threaten the old ultraviolence. When that subsides, we can go back to tending our gardens and playing with our kids and our motorcycles.

Even the silence of the vast majority of the Mullahs is threatening.

Why don't the Mullahs lead the way out for their people?
Is it:

1) There aren't enough of them

2) They are afraid

3) They don't care
