QuakeGL and GT's Unreal look pretty much the same.

unless the AI is much better, or there is some "camper" logic included, I doubt people will be motivated by Unreal to buy 3D cards. Many would argue that Quake is a better buy especially with the huge amount of add on stuff available for it, not to mention Quake II, which will be out "when it's ready". I believe only revolutionary titles like Tomb Raider can really move hardware sales. It's more likely the a bevy of 3D titles lining up for Fall and Xmas release will move 3DFX devices more than any key title. I would imagine it's more the SEGA product deal possiblity that excites an investor more than just the PC market potential. (just look at RMBS once investors realized they were supplying Nintendo64 technology) A company with $150 million market cap, and only $6 million in sales needs to penetrate more markets for it's technology in order to maintain this share value. What would be even more exciting would be if a major OEM would stop putting Matrox cards in their machines, and start offering 3DFX based products for home entertainment machines, and touted 3DFX in their marketing.

Bob, I just like to write about both sides of the coin, and don't think the sky is falling anywhere, just that people reading about these stocks looking for investment ideas should think more short term as the changes in these markets can be brutal for some investors.
