Living according to one's own principles is not based on how good or bad someone else is. You are selling our country short if you think that the only way we can win is to abandon our principles. Furthermore, I believe that any military actions we take should have a sound military rationale, and should have a high likelihood of doing more good than harm. "Glad you are not in command." Me too! "I guess deterrence in the cold war was wrong too. In your scenario they would have attacked and won long ago." I just got through saying that deterrence is necessary and that its usefulness must be protected. "We should never have deterred or deterred and lied by not responding in the end like a bluff in a poker game." I disagree. "You guys got me talking to myself." Don't you think it has more to do with what you've been through than the fact that people disagree with you on a message board? "I will set up a thread just for me i think. I cant take this silliness from folks who are so smart." Some of your posts look pretty silly too, but up till now I have tried not to say so. "Brians a pacifist so i understand.
