One other aspect of this deal is sticking in my crawl. When I spoke w/ Amy Bolding, she said that most of the co.'s shareholders have a basis of below $2.50, so they really should think of this as a good deal. When I said that I really couldn't speculate on the avg. basis, but that this really shouldn't matter based on the stock price closing above $4 on Monday, she said that the cos. (DRNK and TRY) really couldn't do a whole lot about that, as the stock had run up on either just increased popularity on the Street or because of speculation of an impending deal involving DRNK being bought.

Where would have the sources of such speculation have come from? The very likely suspects would be from w/in the DRNK or TRY camps.

Look at the volume on DRNK since the beginning of the month vs. that over the last year. It appears that the two largest trading days in DRNK's history have occurred around June 5 or June 6 and yesterday. Somebody made some money over the last few weeks. I hope the SEC is up to a good hunt.
