TransGaming licenses Macrovision's copy protection technology Oct 24, 2001 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- California-based Macrovision Corp has licensed its SafeDisc LT copy protection system to the Canadian company TransGaming Technologies Inc. TransGaming will implement SafeDisk in its software portability systems, designed to allow games to seamlessly operate on the Linux platform. SafeDisk is a software-based solution that does not require any changes to the publisher's application code and it is compatible with both standard PC and CD-ROM hardware.
