I suppose with Japan in recession and Europe in the doldrums it wasn't too difficult. Still, with interest rates almost nil, stock prices valued at historic highs (on the basis of fictitious earnings) and State-printed money pumping into a paralysed economy like there's no tomorrow one has to believe that gold will regain some investment merit.
