SUNGOLD positions Horsepower2 for the world stage

Vancouver, BC : [Business Wire] October 25, 2001 ~ Sungold Entertainment Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: SGGNF News, Frankfurt: WKN 608164 News) announced today that Mike Bennett and Alan Weinrib have been appointed to the Sungold Board of Directors and have assumed management roles with Horsepower Broadcasting Network Inc (“HBN”).
Mike Bennett
Mr. Bennett (55) has over 30 years senior management experience in the Casino industry on a world-wide stage including the Far East, Australia, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa and the UK. More recently he served on the Boards of some eighteen companies within the giant UK Ladbroke group – arguably the largest bookmaking organization in the world – and whose interests include Racetracks in the USA, Casinos and betting shops in the UK and Europe, and Hilton International Hotels (NYSE : HLT), for whom Mr. Bennett was a Director in Puerto Rico. In 1998 Mr. Bennett formed Koala Leisure Limited, a multi-disciplinary consultancy specializing in operations and marketing for the gaming and leisure industries. Koala Leisure was partnered with GTECH (NYSE : GTK) – the world leader in on-line Lottery operation and development in a joint proposal for an on-line Lottery license in Malta. Since that time Mr. Bennett has been working almost exclusively in the on-line arena and started an on-line casino project for a world-renowned London casino. He is also an Industry Advisor for Boss Media AB (Sweden : 13-SEK) that specializes in developing on-line casinos. Mr. Bennett will also assume the position of Vice President of Corporate Development for HBN and has been granted 100,000 incentive stock options in Sungold Entertainment Corp. at $0.10 USD per share for five years.
Alan Weinrib
Mr. Weinrib (57) started a betting company "Playmate Racing" in 1980 and built a chain of betting shops that were sold to Coral betting some years later. Alan opened another chain of betting shops which were subsequently sold to Mecca racing. During this time, he built Irelands’ largest legitimate credit betting business. In 1997 he sold his bookmaking interests to set up one of the webs first fully interactive betting sites. Due to his reputation in the betting industry both in Europe and the US, Alan headed the new company “Easybets” as President and Sports Director. In the first year the company turnover was $15 million USD, year 2 - $60 million and in year 3 - $120 million. In August 2001 he resigned as President and director of Easybets to enable him to pursue other interests in the gaming industry. Mr. Weinrib remains a shareholder in “Smarttransact” (Malaysia : 480302H), the holding company and IT division of Easybets.
Mr. Weinrib, who Rocky Roxbrugh, one of the biggest names in sports journalism dubbed as “Big Al”, has been appointed Vice President of Marketing for HBN and has been granted 100,000 incentive stock options in Sungold Entertainment Corp. at $0.12 USD per share for five years.
