FIG=Future Inflation Gauge
WLI=Weekly Leading Indicator

We use this information to try to get a feeling for the economic climate of our world. FIG is supposed to be a forecaster of fed moves and the WLI tells us where we are right now.

For example, the WLI tells us that things are still getting worse in the economy.

Another example is that FIG is saying the fed will reduce interest rates next time around. Since it (hopefully) is bottoming, then there may not be more than a couple more rate reductions before it gets back to -2.
