MMike, not sure your point, other than you are a genius <g> BGR of course would just dismiss you as a lucky speculator. Just trying to point out to BGR that for the dollar-cost-averager (which is most investors, including himself) isn't doing any better than boring old fuddy-duddies in govies. In fact, a guy who "missed" the whole market since 1993 actually didn't miss a god-damned thing. Me, I am not so smart as you. I thought the market was too expensive in 1998, sold most everything I had that summer and went to TIPS and long zeroes, been dabbling in some shorts for about 2 years, occassionally even go long a cheap retailer/restaurant and oils, and even one biotech. One smart thing I did was buy Boston real-estate w/ 90% leverage; now some bank is gonna be stupid enough to give me $1/2 mil of liquidity that I can sit on waiting for better prices. Cheers
