I don't trust anything coming from the Chinese at the moment. Also how would the Chinese get such detailed information on this so called assasination of bin Laden and Omar if they were not somehow closely involved with the Taliban in Afghanistan? Remember they recently announced that they had no ties with the Taliban since the September 11th attack. I think this is a disinformation campaign and the Chinese may be helping the enemy ... JMO. The Chinese need to make up their minds on whether they have close ties with the Taliban in recent weeks or they don't ... you can't have it both ways.

I think the Chinese want to spread disinformation so that they can attack what the U.S. is doing in Afghanistan.

On October 24 a Chinese internet news site, Zhongxin Wang, ran a piece describing in detail the purported assassination of Osama bin Laden and Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar by members of their retinue at an underground base near Kandahar on October 16.
