TGPTNDR, Re: "Albert, Re: the facts. Where did you get: 1. intel sold 6-8 Mill of p4. I dispute the assertion and say the correct number was 5 M or lessP-4s sold in Q3."

Two things that have been said regarding Pentium 4 shipments. In Q2, Intel said that shipments were more than double that of Q1, and in Q3, Intel said that shipments were more than quadruple shipments in Q2. If you say that Q3 shipments were 5 million, that means that in Q1, there were less than 625 thousand Pentium 4 chips sold. I believe the actual number was a little more than one million. That would put Q3 shipments above 8 million, but with data so vague, it's easy to get confused. One thing is for sure, though. Q4 shipments are likely to be higher than Q3. Any attempt to deny that Intel can move their sales to Pentium 4 is just wishful thinking.
