When I was 16, I took 66 from Amarillo to Albuquerque. Once into New Mexico, I remembered the road was very narrow, and there was a pretty good dropoff at roads edge with not much shoulder at all. My old 63 Ford Fairlane had the front shocks unhooked(easier to bounce front wheels off ground)and I was lucky to not be thrown in the ditch.

Of course it never occurred to me to stop and bolt up the shocks! lol.
