Wanna, Re: that means that in Q1, there were less than 625 thousand Pentium 4 chips sold. I believe the actual number was a little more than one million.

We're going to disagree on this one also. I think I remember a number just over a million for Q2 P-4 sales.

Until Intel breaks out numbers it's all horse feathers.

You said you got the number from Albert, Albert says he got it from Paul Engle.(Actually, he was using Paul's numbers to point out how *FUZZY* Paul's post was.)

I challenged Paul When he published those numbers and didn't get an answer from him.

Paul Re: <Intel sold approximaterly 6 to 8 million Pentium 4's in the past quarter.>

When the question was asked in the 3Qcc how many PIVs were sold in Q3 the answer was we don't break out those numbers.

Did Intel sell approximately 6 to 8 million Pentium 4's or did they sell between 6 and 8 million Pentium 4's.

Is 5 Million approximately 6 to 8 million? How about 4 Million?

In the Q3CC Paul Otellini said "We are planning ... to more than double our Pentium 4 production in order to meet all customer demand within the quarter. As a result we expect to meet our original 2001 goal for Pentium 4 unit shipments."

And in the Q2CC Paul said they doubled P4 production from Q1 to Q2.

What number of PIVs do you expect will be sold in Q4?

Do you think they will "meet our original 2001 goal for Pentium 4 unit shipments."?
