Importing fundamentals to Window on Wallstreet

Here is the text of the message I received from WOW support. It describes the process to import fundamental information into WOW.

Release 2 will be updated to make the process pretty painless.

Gary

You can import fundamentals or user defined values by creating a text file.

You will need to create a text file with the column you want added as follows: (The Header is _(underscore)history_(underscore). The security symbol is FTET, the column I chose to add is BOOK:

_history_
FTET,BOOK,970331,0.331
FTET,BOOK,970131,0.560
FTET,BOOK,961231,0.644
FTET,BOOK,960930,0.669
FTET,BOOK,960701,0.903

This file was saved as ftet.csv.

Now keep in mind that when adding the dates, the date has to exist in the security file (has to be a valid trading date).

After you have created the file(s) that you want, then go to WOW and select Security/Import and near the bottom you will see an option for importing Type of Data - choose "Fundamental or User Data."
