In a very obscene way, WTC event is welcome to some, because everybody including his grandmother can tell the gullible J6P that "Its sept 11, stupid". I do not think it has accelerated the situation. It may make the trough deeper - due to extra costs to the economy and to the retrenchment psyche -.
