Me too, Cobalt. I've even said that to a few friends. I voted democratic--couldn't bring myself to "vote" for Gore, as I couldn't stand him--but I am so glad Bush won. Mainly because of the people he put in place around him, particularly Powell. I was watching CNN the other day when Powell was taking questions from Congress. The guy is superb--smart, understands the issues, balanced, human. I forget which senator said to him, "It gives me a sense of cosmic reassurance that you are our secretary of state." Powell's eyes misted over briefly.

OTOH I disagree about Clinton. I think he was a great president. Remember when he tried to bomb Bin Laden, missing by an hour or so, and all of America accused him of trying to distract attention from the focus on his personal life? He was actually trying to be a good president. And maybe if our CIA/FBI were working together, and working well as they should and perhaps they will begin to now, we wouldn't have missed by an hour.
