Ohhhh JC... Thanks a lot. :-) I just read them and here are my thoughts: Letter #1: Why is he writing this to me? I knew long ago, before he reached puberty, that he was gay. I love him and am glad he's being honest with me. Letter #2: What did I do wrong? I love him and am glad he's being honest with me, but I can't help but wonder if his interest in masturbation to the exclusion of sex with a partner isn't indicative of some kind of social problem or self loathing that I haven't been aware of.
