| I really don't expect the current Pakistani government to hold up much longer. Condaleeza (sp?) Rice should have been replaced right after 9/11 in my opinion. Obviously, the advice she was giving wasn't very good! I don't think she's a bad person or anything like that, she's just incompetent to do the job she was given, which was given to her partly because Bush wanted to have a diverse bunch of people in his administration. I'm not even sure that Bush is up to the job of protecting us all, but that's a reason we all need to pull our weight and help him, not a reason to point any tiny mistakes that he and others might make. Of course, there will be mistakes made. Anybody who hasn't made a mistake hasn't tried to do anything worthwhile. But, we just need to learn from the mistakes and move on, not stand around looking for scapegoats and finger pointing. Well, I'll get of my soap box now. Good luck to everyone, this conflict is going to last a long time,IMHO, and will probably get worse than it is now. |
