I see chrissy pooh is still pooh pooh-ing the country that is engaged in activities that require the expertise of "small and elite forces" now fighting "the entire Islamic radical community" that doesn't need any more reason to "support the Taliban" than they had before 9.11. I am calling that "putting enough pressure on".... at least for now.
You say: "we must be very careful to keep the allies in line....pressure the nations of the region". Aren't you the diplomat? I say that is exactly what we are doing, and quite well. They don't EVEN know the meaning of the word "pressure".

War is HELL chrissy pooh and innocents as well as Generals can and will die. Don't try to paint me a coward. I have stated quite publicly that I would gladly run through the fires of hell to defend America. How bout you chrissy pooh?
Our justification lies in a permanent tomb in the middle of NYC. Some say, use restraint America, don't create more hate America, don't do this or don't do that America. Trouble is we can't properly bury our dead, it's tough to put all of those molecules back together again. Hate is such a powerful thing, you should know.

America will defend it's interests in the ME until or unless alternative sources of Oil are developed to replace that oil elsewhere. Once that oil is developed and available, I predict we will pull out entirely from the ME and let them anthrax, bomb, murder, starve, mutilate, deprive and incinerate themselves to Kindom Come. I would even venture to guess that like my dear old Dad used to say "if half of the world died tomorrow, the other half would be glad of it". How's that for totally PC incorrect, huh?
When are Americans going to face reality and admit that we are extremely formidable and as long as we are, our enemies will try to destroy us chrissy pooh? When?
To set the record straight, we are there for two reasons. Kill the terrorists and protect our oil interests. If we don't protect our interests, no one will. If we don't kill all of the terrorists, they will kill us. You do understand that don't you chrissy pooh?
