extending the reporting date was a prudent move i believe.
this quarter will have not only a continued downturn, but also potential goodwill write off (impairment), various segment losses for which to reserve, asset sales, foreign currency risk, etc.

then i think management will want to anticipate the conference call questions, and have the answers ready, including cash flow/debt issues. better to schedule late than to have to postpone the report. Usually companies like to get all the bad news out at one time, and not string it out over future quarters.

anyone have comments on the 300mm stories which have appeared on silicon strategies? looks to me like 300mm is steaming ahead, and with some mattson customers.
