On rereading the "Tales from a Turnips field", I was also struck by the poetic beauty of Chaucer's lines, what "elan", what meter, and what depth of understanding of the "market's ways". Still laughing, mind you. as strong as Shaw's: "I am wanting to tell you, I am willing to tell you, I am wishing to tell you" (I am sure that this English challenged turnip farmer screwed up the quotation from Pygmalion, but you heart is big enough to forgive and maybe even forget <g>). Talking about Pygmalion, was he a fond of turnips as well? Cyprus should be a great place to row these venerable roots.
