A big chunk of the money is direct from Intel, the rest is almost entirely co-op money, and a lot of that co-op money will be coming from Intel.

Intel pays HP, eMachines, and Compaq, then they pass the dollars on to the retailers.

Then the customer goes into the store and sees that some of the computers use "XP" processors, while the rest use something else.

What else would anyone buy for "Windows XP?"

It's hilarious!
