>>>why are you assuming that the Israeli are losing the war? <<<

In my opinion Israel is losing the war on two fronts.

1) In American and World opinion. The more killing (of Palestineans) that Israel does the less acceptable their position is to the rest of the world. I cannot think of any government in history that survived whose major policy was the assassination of its neighbors and opposition as a means of staying in power.

2) Israel is a much less safe place than it was 10, 15 or 20 years ago. Israel has become an armed camp and a more of a target of extremists than in prior years. Their policies are going backwards.

I would rate the current Israeli policies a complete failure. They are managing to antagonize both their opposition and their American supporters.

Historically, in my opinion, Israel's policies are a political dead end.

Regards, Jerome
