Last spring I took a few minutes to tune into a Christian TV station just to see what they were up. To my horror, I witnessed a woman preaching a message which was advocating that the US and Israel join forces and attack Syria. She thought a quick and decisive victory would make the Moslems finally realize that Allah was a false God. She hoped to convert them all to Christianity.

At the time I was truly horrified and posted somewhere on this thread about my hope that no militant Moslems saw that TV program. If it scared me, I can only imagine what a Moslem would have thought.

All the religious connotations to many parts of this war make me very nervous. I feel highly uncomfortable about the use of the words "evil-doers:,etc. Who is evil and who is good is only a matter of one's perspective. The more we refer to Bin Ladin's group using religious descriptions, the more we give him ammunition for his "holy war".

Another thing that has me worried is how many public figures seem to be taunting the terrorists with verbal bravado. We don't need to be waving red flags in front of their faces. This war is bad enough without turning it into an ego contest of braggarts.
