John, ENE has fingers in many pies and many cooks in its kitchen. However, when asked about ENE's prospect in July of this year by a fellow SI'er, I took a simpleminded approach. Volume and volatility in NG and energy markets are its core business - and both were contracting then and will continue to decline relative to 2000.

From one perspective, it appears that ENE peaked as Bush/Cheney were validated, and then rolled over and stayed down. Another view is that the period of late fall of last year also anticipated the period of greatest energy and ng speculation in recent history.

Like the thread, btw.
