I guess a financial planner considers livlihoods. But the case is life or death and that's more fundamental. Your argument that is logically bankrupt is asserting that conditions with consequences created by those at war with America in some way make America in someway responsible for the consequences. America and Americans have ZERO responsibility for the evil acts of Sept 11. Those who were 100% responsible have declared that they will continue to attack America and wage war on America and all it's citizens. All citizens of all worlds in the universe have the obligation to fight against or get away from any who would wage such a war and if they are passive and do not fight against this evil they may be consumed by that evil.
