Well, it depends on who you talk to. I've known quite a few Palestinians in my life and they cringe at being called Arab. Many of them are Palestinian Christians, as well as their facial features differly considerably.

I have to take your word for it but it's news to me that even Christian Palestinians don't consider themselves Arab. Politically, the whole point of the fight against Israel's legitimacy is that Palestine is supposedly Arab land. Racially, of course it's another matter.

A lot of the Palestinians are descended from Turks and Circassians, esp. as the population of Palestine kept dropping in the 18th and 19th century and the Ottomans imported laborers into Palestine. Before that, there were also turkic immigrations into Palestine in the 12th and 13th centuries by refugees fleeing the Mongol conquests. As for the Philistines, they are no more descended from the Philistines than I am from Julius Caesar! The Philistines had ceased to be a distinct people in the region of Judah by the 8th century BCE!

BTW, I would hardly call your link a scientific document. More like, here are the Palestinians, here are the peoples mentioned in the Bible, let's match them up.

But they are no more Arabs, than are the Arabs living along the nile Egyptians

The Egyptians are also Arabs. They call themselves Arabs. The only meaningful sense of the term is linguistic and cultural.
