Actually, tbigb, I will buy XP soon. The project I'm working on has to be compatible with Mac OS 9 & X, and Windows 95/98/ME & NT/2K/XP. So I'm going to have to get Yet Another Damnable PC. Of course, like most people, I'm not going to even attempt an XP upgrade on an existing machine. I'll just buy another low-cost computer.

(serious question here, not bagging on MSFT for a second...)

By the way, I'm not clear on the differences between XP Professional and XP Home. What's missing in the Home version? If an app works on Home, is it almost guaranteed to work with Professional? What new features do I get in XP Home or XP Pro over Win 2K?
