You miss the point. It is not that the 6-18 filing is not important.
It is that it is old news. AAPL had indicated many days (weeks?)
previously that they would be making this filing, as it was part of
the original buyout agreement that the stock given to Jobs would be
liquid. It was covered by the press then. It got rehashed when the
6-18 document was filed, but there was no new news, and in fact Jobs
specifically states he has no plans to sell. Moreover, if he did
actually plan to sell, he would likely have to file that again also.
The 6-18 document is a due diligence prospectus for newly available
shares from the company, not an intention to sell. No such issuance
of stock would be accepted by anyone without it, unless they were
specifically prevented from selling shares for a specified time, which
is an even greater sign of weakness, although formerly protective.
