Hi Raymond Duray; Re the nukes "pointed at Russia"... I thought that Bush Sr. or Clinton had ordered those all pointed out into the ocean years ago. My feeling on it is that with the close of the cold war we've got way too many nukes and should replace the warheads on our ICBMs with conventional warheads so we can use them on places like Afghanistan. Or maybe for 4th of July celebrations. Or maybe just take them apart. But I hear rumors to the effect that rate at which we can decommission nukes is fairly slow, and this is the primary explanation for the large numbers that we still have. -- Carl
