Sorry it took a couple of days. It's been busy. Yes, you are right, much has changed in the last 12 months on the xDSL front. Many got pissed off when some of us said "the big boys are coming to town", well, they came :)

You are right about 1999. About 2-3 weeks ago I saw some of these guys at a Cowen conference in NY. You might have heard all about it already, but during a panel discussion Amati's CEO offered 250-500k as the total number of ADSL lines for 1998 deployment and the rest (WSTL, DIGI & BA reps) agreed. I didn't take notes, but I am pretty sure these were the numbers. It looks like Pat is still around, so maybe she can call Jim and confirm.
