Paul,

There is a saying that the road to hell is
paved with good intentions... If one starts with
faulty premises it is very easy to build an ivory
tower on the clay feet.

No, I don't deny that Don is very intelligent and well
meaning. Actually, I enjoyed his "Basic Investing
Assumptions" post and I agree with most of his
12-point beliefs there. I also think that his project
hunt reports are very detailed, though IMHO with bullish
bias. But I can repeat that I thought that his recent
general G&K investing posts were poorly based and
very obscure, in effect not providing any useful
information. If you want me to discuss concrete
disagreements, I can do it, but it will take some time
and may fill quite some space. ;-)

Also you said somewere else:

>IT WAS A BUBBLE. MANY PEOPLE MADE MANY MISTAKES. YOU
> INCLUDED. GET OVER IT.

The problem is that there is still bubble in a lot
of stocks and it looks like some (most of?) people did not
learn anything. I think Mucho and I are trying to
say that. But then, maybe the thread is right, the
valuation discussions should be forgotten again and only
the pongid genes should be discussed.

Let's put it this way. I would be much more happy to
hang out in Buffetology thread. Unfortunately -
and perhaps partially because of my inaction - the thread
died after Mike Burry and James Clarke left SI.
So I'm an orphan posting on a thread that is
only partially related to my interests. That's why
I am inconsistent in critisizing and just lurking.

Jurgis - or maybe we just don't have hearts
