Considering the deal for HWP stock, the
following excerpts from an arrticle in
NewsDay may be relevant".

"HAS THE SIXTH WEALTHIEST man in
the world, often hailed as the best and brightest of Saudi Arabia's royal family, lost his touch?

Long admired for his financial savvy and
discipline as a "buy-and-hold”
speculator, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal
bin Ab Al Saud, who parlayed a family
inheritance of $15,000 and a house into
a $20 billion empire.

He invests hugely through Wall Street
institutions and heavily in companies
with a significant Manhattan presence,
including Citigroup, the Plaza Hotel,
Disney and Rupert Murdoch's News
Corp.

On Thursday he came out and backed Compaq Computer Corp.'s proposed purchase by Hewlett-Packard Co.,despite the opposition
of other leading investors. Alwaleed
says he owns about 1 percent of
Compaq's shares.

The prince's opinion on matters financial
is highly valued around the world."

The question for us is this:

Has Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Ab Al
Saud lost his touch?

Based on his track record, I don't think
so.
