Buy/Sell tactics

I have a basic trading question. I have made several sells lately only to watch the stock continue to climb the same day/week. I am NOT complaining other than perhaps it has made me consider placing a STOP at the AIM price rather than a sell order at a slightly higher market price. If the stock continues to climb I could move the stop up as it goes, providing higher profit potential. If/when a pullback hits the STOP, I'm better off than had I just sold at the price AIM triggered a sell at.

Similar strategy for buying lower too.

Anyone ever played this "game?" It doesn't take much extra time to set and manage stops rather than placing hard sells.
