Dale, Re: "The best move would be merging SGI with eMachines, with SGI utilizing the eMachines manufacturing, distribution, and support infrastructure for a rapid launch."

Emachines competes almost solely in the retail market, and by pure virtue of lowest possible cost components, and lowest possible margins to offer the lowest available price to the consumer. What makes you think that their business model would in any way complement SGI, whose main focus is high performance workstations and data processing farms? What about Emachine's distribution infrastructure makes them any better than any other company out there, and something that SGI would inherently lack?
